King of the Code

(to the tune of King of the Road)

UNIX or MVS, Horizon or LMS,
Assembler, SAS or C: makes no difference to me; Ah, but
When some new program's done, then it's time to have some fun,
A li-brarian by no means, King of the Code!

Third office on the right, often there 'till past midnight;
I love my PC, by gosh; I won't use no MacIntosh; I skip
Staff meeting every week; my boss says I'm a total geek,
A li-brarian by no means, King of the Code!

I know sixteen languages and all of their charms,
Every function and all of the parms,
How to start the system or shut the thing down,
And what to do to GTO when no one's around!

UNIX or MVS, Horizon or LMS,
Assembler, SAS or C: makes no difference to me; Ah, but
When some new program's done, then it's time to have some fun,
A li-brarian by no means, King of the Code!
